CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Old Dominion Women’s tennis team will travel to Charlottesville, Va. to play in the ITA Regional Championships this Friday beginning on Oct. 18 and running through Oct. 22. The University of Virginia is hosting the event at the Snyder Tennis Center.
Five Lady Monarchs will be competing in the tournament including: Nikol Hristova, Nika Khmolovska, Ingrid Vojcinakova, Marijana Novakovic and Melissa Esnal Olguin.
Friday’s schedule consists of a full day of first round singles and doubles action.
ODU First Round Singles Main Draw (play begins Saturday at 1:00 pm):
-Hristova (ODU) vs. 12th seeded Maci Epstein (UVA)
-Vojcinakova (ODU) vs. Darya Yakauleva (VCU)
-Novakovic (ODU) vs. Melanie Roy (W&M)
ODU First Round Singles Qualifying Draw (play begins Friday at 9:30 am):
-Khmolovska (ODU) vs. Yana Mavrina (Temple)
-Esnal Olguin (ODU) vs. Olga Baikulova (UMBC)
ODU First Round Doubles Draw (play begins Friday at 3:00 pm):
-13th seeded Hristova and Esnal Olguin (ODU) receive a bye in the first round and await the winner of Eisenbrand/Davis (St. Joes) vs. Alduate/Kurasz (UMBC)
-Vojcinakova/Novacovic (ODU) vs. Newman/Valls (Radford)
