NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University senior kicker Jarod Brown received recognition from the Fred Mitchell Award for Outstanding place kicker for the month of September.
In five games in the month, Brown was 31-of-32 on extra points and a perfect 6-6 on field goal attempts.
In ODU’s victory over The Citadel, Brown connected on a career-best and school record 52-yard field goal. The senior from Yorktown, Va. also successfully completed two onsides kicks that led to 10 ODU points en route to the win. He also has recorded touchbacks on 45 percent of his kickoffs this season.
