NORFOLK, Va. - The eighth ranked Old Dominion University field hockey team lost 3-0 Friday evening to the second ranked University of Maryland at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
Maryland sophomore Anna Dessoye scored two first half goals for the Terps. In the second half, Maryland and Old Dominion finished with eight shots each. Ali McEvoy added a second half goal for the Terps to complete their scoring.
The Terrapins edged the Lady Monarchs 19-13 in shots. Lady Monarch goalkeeper Megan Hept finished with eight saves while Maryland's goalkeeper Natalie Hunter finished with ten.
The Lady Monarchs return on Sunday as they host seventh ranked Virginia at 1 p.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
