STATE COLLEGE, PA—ODU senior Kimberley Bradbury (Derbyshire, England) fired a 75 today to finish with a 224 for 11th at the Nittany Lion Women’s Golf Invitational at the Penn State Golf Course. As a team, the Lady Monarchs moved up one spot to finish fifth after shooting a blistering 299 today, which was the fifth lowest round of the day.
Bradbury had three birdies and 11 pars today to move up to 11th place. Freshman Rachel Walker (Dumfries, Scotland) tied for 20th with a 54-hole score of 229, followed by sophomore Charlotte Hindmoor (Darlington, England) with a 230. Sophomore Lauren Eklund (Charlottesville, VA.) had the best round of the day with a 73 to tie fellow teammate Gemma Fuster (Barcelona, Spain) for 47th. Senior Elizabeth Haycock (Birmingham, England) shot 75 today to tie Bradbury with the second best Lady Monarch round of the day.
Jennifer Ha of Kent State captured the individual medalist honors with a 212, followed by Josee Doyon of Kent State and Sandy Wongwaiwate of Yale who were four back at 216.
The Lady Monarchs finished 54 holes with a 907 score. Kent State captured the event at 873, followed by Yale at 877, Penn state at 887 and Columbia at 893. Longwood, William and Mary, Georgetown finished behind ODU.
The Lady Monarchs return to action at the ECU Lady Pirate Tournament, Oct. 7 and 8.
