CHAPEL HILL, NC. -- The No. 15 ranked Lady Monarchs field hockey team (1-3) will travel on Friday to play No. 1 North Carolina (4-0) at the Francis E. Henry Stadium.

Old Dominion is coming off of Sunday's 5-3 loss against the University of Virginia and look to turn the page this weekend. 

"We have two strong teams coming up," coach Andrew Griffiths said. "More importantly for us we are trying to figure out who we are and how to get stronger as a group."

ODU is currently second in the BIG EAST with 14 shots per game. North Carolina continued last weekend with victories over Michigan and No. 8 Iowa.  Tar Heel sophomore midfielder Nina Notman currently leads the ACC with 7 average shots per game.

Lady Monarchs Against North Carolina

Series Record: North Carolina leads 39-34-2

Last Meeting: Nov. 11, 2012 - Kimberly Oakes scored a goal for ODU to cut the North Carolina lead to 3-1. North Carolina received goals from three different players to help UNC win 3-1 in Chapel Hill.
