NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University football team had an added development in its second practice of the preseason; the rain.  Midway through the second session of camp the rain began and increasingly rained harder as the morning carried on.

The effects of mother nature, however, did not effect practice as the Monarchs continued to run a smooth, uptempo practice.

Both the offense and defense had their share of big plays, as D.J. Simon made a nice play for an interception while Taylor Heinicke hit Blair Roberts for a big gain just a few plays later.

ODU will work out in shoulder pads for the first time on Wednesday.
