NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed their final practice of preseason camp on Saturday.
ODU Head Coach Bobby Wilder ended practice in an unexpected way, having the offensive and defensive linemen, as well as staff members and coaches, catch punts off of the jugs machine.
Offensive lineman D.J. Morrell and defensive lineman Chris Smith stood out from the crowd, catching the punt, while freshman d-lineman Cullen Casey also caught a punt. Coaches Brian Scott, Rich Nagy, Zohn Burden and graduate assistant Tom Caporale all caught punts as well.
The Monarchs now begin in-season work as they get ready to face East Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. The game will be on Fox College Sports.
