NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football completed their 16th day of practice Monday morning at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex Practice Field.

ODUSports.com is taking a closer look at this year’s team. Today we take a look at freshman defensive end, Scott Wiggins.

Why Old Dominion? My coach at Fork Union said that Old Dominion was interested in me and it seem like a good fit.

What is your major? History

What is your hometown Roselle, N.J. like? It’s a small town, not like here, that is usually pretty quiet.

What was going to a military academy like? It was different from anything like this. They teach you to be respectful above all.

How did going to a military help you on the football field? The biggest thing is being respectful to everyone.

What are your personal goals for the season? My goal is to play in the first game at East Carolina and every game from there.

What is your favorite thing about Hampton Roads? I spent most of my time here on campus so far and I would have to say the help and support from the professors. They make sure you understand what is going on and give you extra help if you need it.

How was your first camp at ODU been? It’s been good and I am learning a lot.

What type of music do you listen to? I mostly listen to rap, hip-hop, R&B, and old school because that’s what I grew up listening to.

What is your dream vacation? I would love to go to Puerto Rico or Hawaii.

Favorite sports team? Minnesota Vikings

Who is your favorite player? Adrian Peterson

What is something most people don’t know about you? I like poetry.
