NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed their second scrimmage of fall camp Friday morning at the L.R. Hills Sports Complex practice field.

The Monarchs ran approximately 80 plays this morning, with the starting units working on two-minute drill segments with the rest of the units getting quality reps as well.

The No. 1 offense started the scrimmage at their own 40 yardline.  Taylor Heinicke completed passes to Blair Roberts and Larry Pinkard, and also a 20-yarder to Melvin Vaughn to move into scoring position.  A sack by Caleb Taylor pushed the offense back and a last ditch attempt was knocked away in the end zone by Reggie Owens and Paul Morant.

Both the offensive and defensive units had solid days, with Anthony Wilson and D.J. Simon making plays behind the line of scrimmage while Gerard Johnson had a 15-yard run and also a 16-yarder for a touchdown.
