Norfolk, VA - The Old Dominion University Athletic Department has unveiled its new design for the basketball court at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
"Joining Conference USA on July 1 will provide Old Dominion University with a much larger branding and media reach through the league's national TV contracts with ESPN, FOX, and CBS Sports Network. C-USA represents 16 institutions from 10 states, including 12 of the top 16 TV markets," says ODU director of athletics Dr. Wood Selig.
"We feel that being known as the "Old Dominion" state and with such a large in state student and alumni presence of over 80,000 alumni in Virginia, this floor design will be embraced by all current, former and future students while bringing national attention and exposure to our great Commonwealth of Virginia and institution."
The floor was scheduled for a redesign this summer and will be shipped out to the resurfacing company in late June.
