This morning I ate breakfast for one last time in Nice before boarding a bus for a couple of hours on our way to Italy. We had some really pretty views along what I guess they call an interstate in Italy. All along the way there were greenhouses, houses on the mountain, and boats in the water along the coastline.

Once we arrived in Pisa, we took a shuttle over to what they call the Field of Miracles which includes the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was so beautiful. Its always one of those things you always see in a book, but its something else to see in person.

There were peddlers EVERYWHERE. They were you like white on rice and they are crazy. They especially liked Coach Nik and one guy kept wanted ten euros from here for a fake gucci watch. One guy came up to me, Tay, and Megan and told us he was from Senegal. We told him we knew a bunch of people from his country back at ODU and then he gave us a gift, a wooden elephant. We said thank you and turned to walk away when he then said that he wanted five euros for his gift. We gave the gift back to him. I guess it really wasn't a gift after all.

One of my favorite things we saw was instead the Cathedral of St. Mary. All the art and scuplutre and all the detail that went into everything was very amazing.

When we were done with the tour we got back onto the bus and headed to Florence. Tay and I walked around for a while and found a place to eat. People here have been great and are really nice.

Tomorrow Tay will tell you about our next game and our day in Florence

See ya
