We had a four hour bus ride from Florence to Venice this morning. We stopped to get something to eat and I was really excited cause I ate some meat for a chance. I've pretty much been sticking to just plain pasta or plain cheese pizza.
Venice has beautiful water and boats. It looks exactly like it does on t.v, with those guys rowing the gondolas on the canals. I wish I had a chance to ride one.
We got to San Marco Square and I never seen so many pigeons in my life, oh my gosh. There must have been thousands. Coach Larry had two on her arm. I didn't go near them. A pigeon ate my banana and sandwich on a school field trip in D.C. and ever since then I haven't liked birds.
There was lots of shopping in Venice. I saw lots and lots of jewlery. They also sold these beautiful masks which they use during Carnivale or Mardi Gras. I managed to get some souvniers for family and friends including a few t-shirts and glasses.
Venice is a complete maze. I managed to get lost at one point with Greedy, Wona, and Jenna. We went around in a complete circle and ended up in the same place we started and had to find our way back all over again. We were afraid we were gonna miss the boat.
We are spending the night here and tomorrow we'll visit a famous glass factory, spend some more time in the square, and have our game.
