Hello to everyone -

Today was our game. When we first arrived at the gym, I found it kind of funny that one of basketball players was smoking. When I walked into the gym I was shocked. I was at least expecting a hardwood floor. This gym looked more like a YMCA gym.

In the game we were playing by European rules, which are somewhat different than the rules we are used to playing at home. First, the game seemed really long. Although we did play for 40 minutes, we played four 10 minute quarters and there were no timeouts unless called by Coach Larry. The lane was different. Also, it seemed to the officials that the other team was allowed to travel and we weren't. The officials also liked to remind us that we were playing European rules, not American.

We haven't played together as a team for awhile, so this trip is really good for us, especially having Tay, T-Green, and Jen back in the line-up. I thought the team played well. Offensively we were good and we have a lot of size up front. Defensive is one area I think we still need to work on.

After the game, I rested knowing I had to get up early for our trip to Pisa. I'm excited about going to Italy. I can't say I liked the food in France. Basically the only thing I ate was pizza. I couldn't read most of the menus in France and I don't like eating what I can't read.

Before I go I just wanted to say "Hi" to Ma, Kenny, Katie, Big M, Lindsey, Daddy Jim, the Hulberts, Almost Brother, Grandpops, Mummu, and everyone else back in Newfield, New York.

Tomorrow Jen will tell you about our trip to Italy and Pisa.
