We left Venice today and stopped in Verona on our way to Milan and our last stop, Lake Como.

In Verona we saw an ancient arena that looked right out of Gladiator. Its one of the oldest and biggest arenas left in Italy. I had never seen anything like this before and it feels like a once in a lifetime deal. Its definitely something you don't see everyday.

We also saw Juliet's balcony. Ok, its not really Juliet's balcony, but a family with the similar last name of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet once lived there. Some of us took pictures with a statue of Juliet and the legend has it that if you touch Juliet and think of your one true love, your wish will come true.

After Verona, we were off to Milan. We saw this huge cathedral, actually the third largest in Europe. It was beautiful and I give a lot of credit to whoever helped build it. Whoever constructed sure went through a lot of work. It was, I'd have to say, the best cathedral of all that we saw. After touring the church, we had some free time to shop.

Our next stop was Lake Como. Como was a nice area, especially since there wasn't a lot of traffic like some of the bigger cities we visited. Its right on the water and I love looking at all the scenery. It was a more laid back type atmosphere.

Everything on the trip has been great, but I'd have to say that Nice is still my all time favorite.

Time to run. Later
