NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University baseball team split a two game series with Norfolk State last week. On Friday night, ODU defeated NSU, 8-3 at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex. On Saturday, NSU took down the Monarchs, 4-2, at Marty L. Miller Field in Norfolk, Va. ODU Director of Broadcasting, Ted Alexander caught up with head coach, Chris Finwood and discussed last week's games.
The Monarchs will be back in action this Tuesday, May 14, against William and Mary at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, Va. at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, May 15, ODU will host Longwood in their home finale at 6 p.m. Old Dominion will close out their season in a two game series on May 17-18 against Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C.
William and Mary will start J.T. Castner, while the Monarchs will go with BrettHarris. ODU is in third place of the CAA and W&M is in second place. The twosquared off, April 19-21 at the Bud Metheny Complex with the Monarchs sweepingthe series.
ODU leads the Longwood series, 7-4, but the Lancers defeated ODU at the Budlast year,9-7. ODU is scheduled to start Dean Ali.
