NORFOLK, Va. - Adrienne Goodson, the Old Dominion University women's basketball director of operations, will be inducted into the Bayonne High School Hall of Fame on Wednesday, April 24, in the Alexander X. O'Connor Auditorium on the campus of Bayonne High School in Bayonne, N.J.
Goodson, who was inducted into the Old Dominion University Athletics Hall of Fame in 1999, was inducted last year into the Hudson County Sports Hall of Fame in Jersey City, N.J.
A member of Old Dominion's 1985 NCAA National Championship team, Goodson scored 323 points as a freshman, the seventh most by a first-year player in school history. She was a two-time All-Sun Belt performer and was named the Sun Belt Player of the Year as a senior.
After ODU, she was the captain of the 1993 USA National Basketball team and played professionally in Brazil before playing in the American Basketball League (ABL). In 1999, she was selected by the Utah Starzz of the WNBA, which started a four-team, nine-year playing career that included a 2002 All-Star season with the Starzz.
