Scrimmage
The Old Dominion University football team completed their second scrimmage of the spring at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday.

The Monarchs ran approximately 90 plays in just under two hours in their 12th practice out of 15 this spring.

Defense wins the Day
ODU Head Coach Nate Barnes, Andrew Everett and Gary Scruggs, just to name a few.

The defense earned stops on the first two drives of the game, both in two-minute drills and also recorded four straight stops on drives that started from the 30-yardline.

Early in the scrimmage, Malique Johnson intercepted passes while Terrell Reid recorded sacks.

Offense Moves the Ball
Walter Payton Award Winner Taylor Heinicke found familiar targets Blair Roberts and Larry Pinkard early in the scrimmage. Heinicke hit Pinkard for 25 yards on the first play of the day and found Roberts on the second play for 13 yards.

The offense was able to move the ball on the ground as well, with C.J. Bradshaw shedding some tacklers, while Tyree Lee found some holes as well.
