WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - No. 68 Old Dominion University men's tennis wraps up the regular-season on Saturday at William and Mary. The match will be one of just three remaining contests in the Optima Health Challenge between the two schools, which is currently tied at 45 points apiece.
The Monarchs come into the weekend with an overall record of 13-6 while the Tribe are 11-13.
ODU is led by sophomore Carlos Lopez Villa, who is currently 17-1 on the season and defeated his third ranked opponent of the year with an 7-6, 6-1 win over UNCW's Rafael Aita on Thursday.
Junior Wesley Barrett is second on the team with a 12-6 mark while senior Albert Ochagavia and freshman Zvonimir Podvinski have 10 wins apiece.
The doubles team of Lopez Villa and Can Cetinel are 13-4 and ranked No. 88 in the country while Barrett and Tim Schweig are also 13-4 on the season.
William and Mary is 11-13 on the year with 11 of those losses coming to ranked opponents. The Tribe have won four-straight.
John Banks leads the squad with a 13-9 mark while Ben Hoogland is second on the team with a record of 12-7.
Old Dominion will participate in the Conference USA Tournament for the first time in school history on April 18-21 in Memphis, Tenn.
