Beginning in the fall of 2012, ODUSports.com and Monarch Media will present a weekly Monarch Spotlight that gives fans a chance to learn more about their favorite student-athletes at Old Dominion.
This week features baseball junior infielder Brian Bashara. Having started 10 of the last 12 games for Old Dominion, Bashara launched his first career homer coming in off the bench on Sunday at ODU's 14-2 romp at James Madison to help the Monarchs sweep the Dukes. The junior is batting .379 (11-for-29) with four doubles and two triples to go with eight RBI and a pair of stolen bases so far this season.
