NORFOLK, VA--The ODU baseball Monarchs return to action this weekend with a three-game CAA series against the Huskies of Northeastern beginning Friday night at 6 p.m. at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.

The Monarchs, 6-4 are scheduled to start junior righthander Dean Ali (1-1, 1.20 ERA) on Friday night With lefthander Any Roberts (0-0, 0.00 ERA) on Saturday and lefthander Ryan Yarbrough (1-0, 3.79 ERA) on Sunday.
Through 10 games junior Ben Verlander leads the team with a .421 batting average and a team best two triples, and a .789 slugging percentage. Designated hitter Austin McGowan is at .344 with eight runs scored, and four doubles. Josh Eldridge leads the squad with 11 RBI to go along with his .300 batting average.
Northeastern comes in with a 7-4 record. Head coach Neil McPhee is scheduled to throw righthanderMatt Cook (0-0, 2.25 ERA) on Friday, righthander Nick Berger (2-1, 2.00 ERA) on Saturday and lefthander Kevin Ferguson (2-1, 3.50 ERA) on Sunday. Infielder Jason Vosler leads the Huskies with a .391 batting average with a team best 12 RBI, followed by outfielder Connor Lyons at .375. Michael Foster is second on the team with 11 RBI.
Series: ODU leads, 11-9 as the Huskies swept the Monarchs in Boston last year.
The Monarchs hit the road next week for Spring Break when they travel to ECU on Tuesday, N.C. State on Wednesday and then a three-game CAA series at Georgia State.
