WILMINGTON, NC--ODU Sophomore Jamison Randall (Cumberland,RI.) tied for 16th and senior Thomas Wilde (Bucks, England) tied for 20th to lead the Monarchsto an eighth place finish at the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the CC of LandfallDye Course. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes because of the heavyrainfall over the weekend.
Randall started with a 79 in the first round, but rallied for a 74 in the second round to finish with a 36 hole score of 153, ten strokes back of tournament championPayne McLeod of host UNCW. Wilde fired 77 in both rounds for a 154 score and junior John Dawson (Chesapeake, VA.) finished tied for 28th with a 157 score.
Host UNCW won the event with a 604 score, one stroke better than Kent State.ODU returns to action April 8-9 at the Cleveland Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale,AZ.
