NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed their off-season conditioning program and produced solid results in testing.

The Monarchs tested out in various drills and lifts, including the 40-yard dash, pro-shuttle, vertical jump, bench press, hang clean and squat.

Walter Payton Award winner Taylor Heinicke posted a solid time of 4.61 in the 40-yard dash while fellow quarterback David Washington notched a squat of 405.

Junior running back Colby Goodwyn had a strong conditioning program and tested out well with a 440 pound squat and running the 40-yard dash in a time of 4.5

The wide receiving duo of Antonio Vaughan and Larry Pinkard turned in impressive numbers. Vaughan finished with a team-best time of 3.97 in the pro-shuttle while Pinkard finished with a time of 3.98. Pinkard had the Monarchs' best vertical jump at 37.5.

Newcomer Jevon Neal produced the best 40-yard dash time with a 4.39. Pinkard followed with a 4.41.

Offensive linemen D.J. Morrell put up big numbers in the bench press and hang clean. Lowney had a team-best 360-pound hang clean while Morrell produced a team-high 400-pound bench press. The pair also produced a 500 plus pound squat, as Lowney squatted 500 pounds while Morrell finished at 535.

Defensive tackle Nate Barnes also eclipsed the 500 pound mark.

The Monarchs begin spring practice on March 20, and conclude their 15 practices with the Spring Game on April 20 at 3 p.m.
