NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis will spend their weekend in Florida as the Monarchs take on Florida Gulf Coast on Friday and Florida Atlantic on Sunday.
The Monarchs are 7-3 on the year and have a win over then No. 27 Harvard. Harvard has gone 4-1 since the loss to the Monarchs and are No. 23 in the poll.
ODU is led by sophomore Carlos Lopez Villa who is 10-0 on the year. He has twice been honored as the Conference USA men's tennis Athlete of the Week.Lopez Villa and doubles partner Can Cetinel are ranked No. 58 with a 7-2 record.
Florida Gulf Coast is 4-4 on the season and have played ranked foes such as Florida State and UAB. The Eagles are led by Dean Tsamas who has a 6-2 record.
Florida Atlantic is 2-6 on the year with wins over Troy and Hampton. The Owls are led by Jose Fantova who has a record of 5-3.
