NORFOLK, Va. - No. 67 Old Dominion University men's tennis has two home games this weekend, starting Saturday against Radford at 10 a.m. and Sunday versus Navy at 11 a.m.
The Monarchs come into the weekend with a 5-3 record and national ranking for the second week in a row.
ODU is led by sophomore Carlos Lopez Villa, who is 8-0 and earned a national ranking of No. 112 this week. Junior Wesley Barrett is second on the team with a 6-2 mark while freshman Zvonimir Podvinski is 5-3 on the year.
Old Dominion has a pair of doubles teams receiving attention from the ITA polls, as Can Cetinel and Lopez Villa are ranked No. 30 and 5-2 on the season while Tim Schweig and Barrett are No. 58 with a 6-2 record.
Radford is 0-1 on the year with their only match a 4-1 loss to William and Mary on Jan. 20. Junior Nicholas Sayer earned the only win for the Highlanders.
Navy brings a 5-3 record into the weekend. The only common opponent between ODU and Navy is Temple. ODU defeated Temple 6-1 while the Midshipmen dropped Temple, 5-2.
Austin Jones leads Navy with a 7-1 record going 6-1 at No. 3 while Calvin Mark is 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
