RICHMOND, Va. – Senior co-captain and defender Shelby Davis was selected to the preseason All-CAA Lacrosse team while the Lady Monarchs were selected to finish seventh in the league it was announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Davis (Elmira, N.Y.) has stared in all 47 games over her three-year career at Old Dominion and has scored three goals while registering two assists and five points. She has scooped up 61 groundballs while causing 25 turnovers and earned 24 draw controls in her career with the Lady Monarchs.
Old Dominion was selected to finish seventh out of eight teams in the CAA. The Lady Monarchs return five starters and 10 letter winners from a year ago while adding eight freshmen to the 2013 squad.
