NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball senior Tia Lewis was named to the Virginia Sports Information Director's (VaSID) University Division All-State women's basketball team.
Lewis earned second-team All-State honors for the second-straight season. She led the Lady Monarchs with 16.3 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per game as well as leading the team in minutes per game and blocks.
A native of Poulan, Ga., Lewis finished the year with 27 double-digit scoring games and 11 double-doubles.
She moved into 10th all-time on the ODU scoring list with 1,624 career points and is tied for sixth in rebounds with 1,124.
VCU's Courtney Hurt was named the player of the year while Liberty's Reagan Miller was named rookie of the year. James Madison's Kenny Brooks was honored as coach of the year after taking the Dukes to the WNIT final.
