Lady Monarchs Host VCU in 10th Annual Hoops for the Cure game.

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball hosts the 10th Annual Hoops for the Cure game on Sunday when they take on VCU at 3 p.m.

ODU has a plethora of activities planned both before and during the game, including free pink t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans to enter the Ted Constant Center (Doors open at 2 p.m.). Free pink pom-poms to fans in attendance as well as a pre-game health expo including many local companies (including Bon Secours In Motion, Carolina Cupcakery), a poster making station, live DJ, a pre-game Survivor Walk on the court. Also, 15 randomly selected survivors will receive pink basketballs during player introductions before the game.

During the game, at each media timeout a student will have the chance to win $25 in Monarch Plus cash. The winner of the "Pretty in Pink" bra decorating contest winner will be announced at halftime and their will be a special halftime performance by a local Jazzercise group.

VCU edged the Lady Monarchs earlier this season in Richmond, pulling out a 76-72 win in overtime.

Senior Tia Lewis leads the Lady Monarchs with 17.6 points per game and in rebounds at 9.2 per game. She recorded her 10th double-double of the season and 39th of her career on Thursday against Drexel. Lewis is fifth in the CAA in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

Junior Jackie Cook is second on the squad with 9.2 points per game and is third in the CAA in free throw percentage at 82.4 percent.

VCU is 14-11 overall and 7-7 in league play.

The Rams have dropped two-straight, falling to James Madison on Sunday and William and Mary, 66-63, on Thursday.

VCU has the highest scoring duo in the CAA, with Courtney Hurt (21.9) and Andrea Barbour (16.7). Hurt is second in the league in scoring while Barbour is seventh.

Hurt is second in the CAA in scoring and leads the nation in rebounding with 12.8 per game.
