LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Old Dominion University women's basketball fell to their second ranked foe of the season on Thursday night in the World Vision Classic at the Cox Pavilion as No. 22 Texas A&M came out victorious, 78-55.

The Lady Monarchs had double-digit scoring performances from senior Jackie Cook (10 points) and Shae Kelley (11 points) and were able to cut the Aggie deficit down to five points with 8:22 to play in the game, but Texas A&M (8-3) proved to be too much for ODU on the inside.

Junior center Kelsey Bone scored a career-high 33 points as she went 15-for-18 from the floor and added 14 rebounds, two assists and a block to power the Aggies. Texas A&M was able to go on a 24-6 run after ODU pulled within five midway through the second half to collect their eight consecutive victory.

Cook scored in double figures for the eighth time in nine games this season in her 100th career game played at Old Dominion while Kelley scored in double digits for the sixth time in nine games.

Old Dominion (7-2) also fought back late in the first half to overcome a deficit as they cut the Aggies' lead to 23-22 with 5:47 to play but Texas A&M would go on a 13-6 run to take a 36-28 lead at intermission.

The Aggies had a 52-32 advantage in the paint and a 20-8 advantage in fast break points as both squads shot over 40% for the contest. ODU forced a season-low 13 turnovers.

The 2011 national champions and Sweet 16 participants in 2012 will meet No. 5 Notre Dame in the championship game on Friday evening.

Old Dominion concludes action in the World Vision Classic on Friday when they take on Alabama A&M at 3:30 p.m. (ET). Live video feed and stats will be available along with radio broadcast on ESPN 94.1 FM.
