NORFOLK, VA-- Four Old Dominion University men's soccer players were named to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region squad. They are seniors Chris Harmon (Downingtown, PA.), Victor Francoz (Fleurieu Sur Saone, France) and Jordan LeBlanc (Haverford, PA.) along with junior forward Tim Hopkinson (Nottingham, England).
Harmon was selected to the first team All-Region squad after scoring nine goals, with a team best six assists for 24 total points. Harmon had four game-winning goals. The All-CAA midfielder finished his career with21 career goals and 14 career assists for 56 career points which ranks him 10th all-time at ODU.
Tim Hopkinson led the Monarchs with 10 goals, five assists and 25 total points on the season to earn a second team All-Region selection.
Victor Francoz was selected to the third team All-Region squad after posting seven full shutouts,62 saves and a 0.85 goals against average for the All-CAA goalkeeper. He finished his career at ODU 13 full shutouts, 148 saves and a 1.83 goals against average. He was joined on third team by midfielder Jordan LeBlanc who was third on the team with five goals, three assists and 13 total points. LeBlanc, an All-CAA selection was a perfect three-for-three in penalty kicks this year for ODU.
The four helped lead the Monarchs to the NCAA second round with an 11-3-3 overall record. ODU ranked as high as fourthnationally by College Soccer News and Soccer America on Sept. 18th after knocking off then second ranked Creighton whowould go one to reach the NCAA College Cup semifinals for the second straight year.
