NORFOLK, Va. - Redshirt junior back Christy Longacre and freshman forward Sarah Breen of the Old Dominion University field hockey team were named to the 2012 Longstretch/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I All-American Teams on Tuesday.
Longacre (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was selected to the second team while Breen (Taylors Hill, Australia/Maribyrong College) landed on the third team representing Old Dominion.

Longacre became the seventh ODU player to be named CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and the third straight year the honor has gone to a Lady Monarch. She was a key component in a Lady Monarchs' defense that allowed just seven goals in seven CAA contests and recorded two shutouts. Longacre collected three defensive saves while also making her presence felt on offense on penalty corners, ranking third on the team with 10 goals while adding four assists.
Breen was named to the All-CAA Rookie Team and was All-CAA First Team in 2012 after scoring 12 goals and picking up eight assists in her rookie campaign. Breen had four game-winning goals on the season which led the team.
