Lady Monarchs Take on Hofstra Sunday

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball host Hofstra Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ted Constant Center.

Old Dominion is 5-11 overall and 2-2 in the CAA while Hofstra is 12-3 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Old Dominion is coming off a hard fought 76-72 overtime loss at VCU Wednesday.

Tia Lewis led the Lady Monarchs with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Junior Jackie Cook set her careerhigh for the second-straight game, pouring in 20 points and seven rebounds.

Lewis leads the team with 18.3 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game. She is three points away from passing Tiffany Green for 19th on the ODU all-time scoring list. She currently has 1,396 career points.

Hofstra is 12-3 overall and 4-0 in CAA play.

The Pride have won three in a row and six of their last seven, including an 80-67 win over Georgia State Thursday night.

Junior forward Shante Evans leads the team with 17.8 and 10.4 reboundsper game.

Sophomore Katelyn Loper and senior Nicole Capurso also averagedouble-digits with 13.5 and 12.2, respectively.
