Norfolk, VA October 2012 marks the ten year anniversary for Ted Constant Center, home of the Old Dominion University Monarchs and Lady Monarchs. After holding the first ticketed event on October 28, 2002 with a Counting Crows concert, Global Spectrum has hosted a variety of renowned touring events at Ted Constant Center, including Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, American Idols Live, Maroon 5, 50 Cent, Keith Urban, Blue Man Group, Michael Buble, Elton John, Harlem Globetrotters, Steve Harvey, Eric Church, and The Black Keys.

Ted Constant Convocation Center is a 9,100-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Old Dominion University. Operated by Global Spectrum since the grand debut in 2002, Ted Constant Center is the cornerstone in the University Village project, a 75-acre development that also features restaurants, shopping, offices, research labs and residences with high-tech connections to the campus. Ted Constant Center is home to the Old Dominion men's and women's basketball teams, and plays host to ODU Wrestling matches, a variety of family-oriented events as well as concerts, ODU commencement, career fairs, and lectures.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary, Ted Constant Center will have a huge kick off the first week of October with 8 events over the course of five days. Tuesday, October 2, Journey, Pat Benatar, and Loverboy inaugurate the celebration with their greatest hits and Thursday, October 4, The King's Men Tour featuring Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, and Israel Houghton will perform. Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7, Sesame Street Live will continue the celebration with a weekend full of performances in the arena; marking their tenth year in a row. Travelling along Hampton Boulevard, you can't miss the window display showcasing some of the past artists who have performed in the arena since opening in 2002. Passers-by on Monarch Way will see banners along the street with the Constant Center's ten year logo.

"We're proud to have brought in major acts to the Hampton Roads area, in which the community has responded to in an overwhelming fashion."

Ted Constant Center recently accomplished a huge milestone in the 10 year history of the facility.
