MANAKIN-SABOT, VA.-- ODU red-shirt senior Thomas Wilde (Bucks, England) fired 77 today to finish tied for 17th at the VCU Shootout. As a team, the Monarchs tied for ninth with a 54-hole score of 922.
Sean Bosdosh of Maryland won the tournament after shooting 70-71-71=212 to winwin the event by two strokes over Raymond Ho of Long Beach State and Scott Fernandez of Iowa State. Virginia Tech won the event at 878 by nine strokes overWichita State.
Wilde, who shot 73-74-77=224 tied for fourth in par three scoring at 3.08 and he finished the tournament with 35 total pars which ranked sixth best in the event.Sophomore Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) tied for 38th with a 232, junior John Dawson tied for 43rd with a 233, Ashton Newsom (Chesapeake, VA.) tied for 52nd at 237 and freshman Seth Sweet (Madison, ME.) tied for 58th at 240.
