MANAKIN-SABOT, VA-- Senior Thomas Wilde (Bucks, England) is tied for 12th after two rounds of the VCU Shootout at the Hermitage Country Club. As a team, ODU is seventh at 606.
Wilde had four birdies on the day as he shot 73 in the first round and 74 in thesecond round.He trails Maryland's Sean Bosdosh (70-71=141) by just six strokes.
The Shockers of Witchita State (580) lead the event by seven strokes over second place Virginia Tech (587). ODU was just five strokes back after the first 18 holeswith a 293 score, but shot 313 in the second round.
Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) is tied for 31st after shooting 72-80=152, while John Dawson(Chesapeake, VA.) and freshman Ashton Newsom (Chesapeake, VA.) are bothtied for 38th after shooting 74-80=154.
Randall had three birdies in the first round as he shot 36-36 and two birdies in the second round. The final round is Tuesday.
