RICHMOND, Va. - Old Dominion University women's soccer's Amber Cook was named CAA Co-Player of the Week for her performance this past weekend, the CAA announced Monday.
A native of Clear Brook, Va., Cook recorded her first career hat trick along with an assist in the Lady Monarchs' 6-1 triumph over VMI on Sunday.
ODU and VMI were tied 1-1 after the first half before Cook took over in the second half, scoring her first of the game less than two minutes into the second half.
She scored again 12 minutes later and tacked on her third of the game just 33 seconds later.
The junior also added an assist on ODU's third goal of the game, a tally from Jessie Klamut.
Cook and the Lady Monarchs continue their home stand on Friday when they take on Richmond at 7 p.m.
