NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis sophomore Nika Khmolovska earned ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar-Athlete honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Khmolovska earned the honor for the second-straight year.
In order to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria. 1.) Be a varsity letter winner, 2.) Have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) Have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
Khmolovska finished her sophomore year with an 11-10 record and a 5-2 mark at No. 5 singles.
She holds a 3.95 grade point average and is majoring in international studies.
