NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion's Jonathan Plisco (Newport News, Va.) was named among the "Top Ten FCS Special Teams Players to Watch" by The Sports Network for the second straight season.
The Monarch punter, who has earned nine All-America honors in his three-year career with Old Dominion, was second in the nation in punting last season averaging 46.2 yards after leading the nation as a sophomore in 2010. His average led the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
A First Team All-American by Beyond College Sports Network, Second Team All-American honoree from College Sports Madness, The Sports Network the Associated Press, and Phil Steele, and All-American by College Sports Journal, 20 of Plisco's 51 punts in 2011 went the distance of 50 yards or more and 12 were placed inside the opponent 20.
