NORFOLK, Va. -- Redshirt junior Jarod Brown (Yorktown, Va.) was named to the Placekicker Watch List by the College Football Performance Awards.

The purpose of the College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

A Third Team All-CAA honoree, Brown led the Monarchs in scoring accounting for 101 of Old Dominion's 477 points last season. He connected on 14 of his 21 field goals attempts, which included a career-high 51-yard field goal against Georgia State and only missed two PAT's going 57-of-49, coming in third in the league at 96.6%. Brown averaged 7.6 points per contest topping the scoring list among all the league's placekickers.

As the 2012 season approaches, College Football Performance Awards will be releasing a preseason watch list each week from now until pre-season. For more information on the College Football Performance Awards, click here.
