WILMINGTON, DEL-- ODU junior Thomas Wilde tied for eighth and freshman Jamison Randall tied for 11th to lead the Monarchs to third place at the CAA Men's Golf Championships which were held on the South Course of the Wilmington Country Club.
UNCW won the championship with a blistering 288 today to finish at 884 for 54 holes,followed by Georgia State at 886, ODU at 903 and VCU at 904.
The Individual Medalist honor went to Greg Matthias of Delaware who fnished at 217after shooting 77 today, one stroke better than Davin White of Georgia Sate who shot 69 in today's final round. ODU's Wilde finished five strokes back.
John Dawson led ODU today with a 75 in the final round, while Wilde shot 76 and Randall 78.
Randall finished second in the Championships with 11 birdies, while Wilde was seventh in par three scoring at 3.17, and was fourth in par five scoring at 4.89. Randall tied for seventh in par four scoring at 4.15.
