NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis begins the CAA Championship on Friday when they host William and Mary in the quarterfinals on Friday at 4 p.m.
The Lady Monarchs are the No. 5 seed and bring a 12-9 record into the match while the Tribe are 6-15 overall and are the No. 4 seed.
William and Mary won the previous meeting between the two schools, a tight 4-3 win on April 6.
The Lady Monarchs are led by No. 1 singles player Diana Ivanova who is 15-5 on the year. Freshman Aleksandra Mitrovska is 14-7 on the year while Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nika Khmolovska have 10 wins apiece.
William and Mary is led by Maria Belaya who is 11-9 on the year. Anik Cepeda and Katie Kargl are second on the team with eight wins each.
The winner of the match takes on the VCU vs. Delaware/Drexel winner 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21.
