NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis handled Navy 7-0, winning all 10 matches for the dominating win.
With the win, ODU improves to 11-9 while Navy falls to 19-2 on the year.
ODU was dominant from the start, winning all three doubles matches. Diana Ivanova and Aleksandra Mitrovska were 8-3 winners at No. 1 while Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nika Khmolovska were 8-4 winners at No. 2. Juliana Pires and Faith Atiso finished off the sweep with an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
The Lady Monarchs continued their strong play into singles as Ivanova delivered a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1
Mitrovska followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 while Khmolovska was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 3. It was Khmolovska first time competing at No. 3 in her career.
Esnal Olguin was victorious at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Erin Snook with Pires coming up with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at No. 5.
Atiso finished up the win at No. 6 with a 0-6, 6-4 (11-9) victory to clinch the sweep.
ODU rounds out the regular season on Sunday at 10 a.m. when they host Temple.
