PONCE, PR--Old Dominion senior Neil Henderson (North Berwick, Scotland) fired 73 for the second straight day to finish 54 holes at 216 and tie for fifth at the Caribbean Intercollegiate at the Hilton Ponce Golf and Casino Resort.
As a team, the Monarchs tied for fourth with Laval University (Quebec, Canada) at 878. ODU entered the final round just seven shots behind leader St. John's. The Red Storm shot 294 in the final round and ODU shot 299. Rollins College shot a tournament low 286 in the final round to overtake St. John's and win the event by seven strokes at 859.
Henderson shot 70-73-73 for 216 for the tournament to finish six shots behind individual champion Pat Wilson of St. John's who finished at 210.
Freshman Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.)also shot 73 in the final round to finish at 220 and tied for 14th, followed by sophomore John Dawson (Chesapeake, VA.) who finished at 221 after a 75 today to tie for 17th.
The Monarchs compete in the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, March 10 and 11.
