Post-Game Recap:

NORFOLK, Va. - Senior midfielder Lisa Bernardni tied her career high on Saturday with five goals to help the Old Dominion University Lacrosse snap their four-game skid with a 10-4 victory over Saint Joseph's at the Powhatan Sports Complex.

Redshirt senior goalkeeper Sarah Geary had her best performance of the season, as ODU held Saint Joseph's to their fewest goals in a game this year while the four goals against the Lady Monarchs was also a season low for an opponent.

ODU (2-4) and Bernardini scored first but Saint Joseph's (4-4) responded just two minutes later with the equalizer That would prove to be the lone goal of the first half for the Hawks as the Lady Monarchs reeled off three straight goals by junior midfielder Shelby Davis, senior midfielder Rebecca Hartrum and senior defender Courtney Johnson to take a 4-1 lead into the half. It was the first goals of the season for both Davis and Johnson and just the second career goal for each player.

Saint Joseph's put up two goals quickly in the second half to put pull within one goal, but Old Dominion responded with five unanswered goals over an 18-minute stretch to salt the game away. Bernardini scored three goals in that run along with senior attacker Rebecca Reymann and sophomore midfielder Emily Austerberry as six different Monarchs found the back of the net on Saturday.

Grace Dinn scored a pair of goals to lead SJU while goalie Alisha Aquilino collected 10 saves for the Hawks. Hartrum recorded a pair of assists in addition to her goal while Austerberry, senior midfielder Alyssa Dragon and senior midfielder Sarah Wright also each recorded an assist.
