RICHMOND, VA-- ODU senior Kent Bazemore has been named CAA Co-Player of the Week for the second straight week. after averaging 28.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in ODU's 1-1 week.
The senior guard from Kelford, NC. scored a career-high 37 points and tied a career high with 12 rebounds in the Monarchs' 73-72 setback to first-place Drexel and contributed 19 points and and seven rebounds as ODU rallied for a 65-60 overtime win at Georgia State that clinched a first-round tournament bye for ODU. Bazemore shot 46.3% from the floor, including 5-of-11 from 3-point range.
Kent now has 1,351 career points, 243 career steals and 369 career assists. He isODU's second all-time leader in steals.
Bazemore shares this week's honor with Mike Moore of Hofstra - Moore averaged 27.5 points and 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in Hofstra's 1-1 week. The senior guard poured in a game-high 30 points with four rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 93-64 victory over UNCW and had 25 points and six boards in a 75-71 loss at William & Mary. Moore shot 45.5% from the floor, including 8-of-14 from 3-point range, and was 17-of-18 at the FT line.
