WILMINGTON, N.C. - Old Dominion University women's basketball travels to UNCW on Sunday to cap its three-game road trip. ODU takes on the Seahawks at 2 p.m.
The Lady Monarchs are coming off a hard fought 76-63 setback at No. 12 Delaware while UNCW squeaked past Georgia State 72-69.
Senior Tia Lewis leads the Lady Monarchs and ranks fifth in the CAA with 18.0 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game and in field goal percentage at 50.8 percent.
ODU ranks second in the league in assists, with Ashley Betz-White ninth in the league with 84 assists while JoNiquia Guilford is second on the team with 59 helpers. Betz-White and Guilford also rank one and two on the team in steals, with 35 and 33, respectively.
Jackie Cook is second on the team in scoring at 9.2 points per game while Betz-White is third at 8.8 per game, and second among CAA freshmen.
UNCW is 15-8 overall and 8-4 in league play.
Alisha Andrews leads the squad with 12.7 points per game while Tawanna Lee scores 10.1 per game. Andrews ranks fourth in the conference with 112 assists.
The Seahawks have won seven of their last eight contests, with their lone loss a 62-53 loss to No. 12 Delaware.
The Lady Monarchs return home to the Ted Constant Center on Thursday, Feb. 16 to host Drexel at 7 p.m.
