RICHMOND, Va. - Old Dominion University senior Tia Lewis was named Player of the Week, the CAA announced Monday. Lewis shares the award with Delaware's Elena Delle Donne.
For the week, Lewis garnered two double-doubles to push her total for the season to nine.
On Wednesday night against James Madison, Lewis poured in a team-best 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
In Sunday's dramatic 81-79 win at Hofstra, the senior from Poulan, Ga. had 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. She was 7-of-10 from the floor and also added four assists.
For the season, Lewis ranks fifth in the league with 18.1 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game. She's sixth in the league in shooting percentage at 50.6 percent and second in minutes at 35.6 per game.
Lewis and the Lady Monarchs travel to Delaware on Thursday to take on the Blue Hens at 7 p.m.
