LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Old Dominion University sailing team is set to compete in the 27th annual Rose Bowl Regatta on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8.
The event is hosted by the University of Southern California at the U.S. Sailing Center in Long Beach, Calif. The Rose Bowl Regatta is the largest coed intersectional competition during the college sailing season fielding 30 teams from across the country.
Competing for the Monarchs in the A-Division race will be sophomore skipper Scott Hoffmann and sophomore crew Alexa Cavalieri, both California natives. It will be the second consecutive year for Cavalieri in the A-Division while Hoffmann competed in the B-Divsion race in 2011.
The B-Divsion Race will feature sophomore skipper Evan Hoffmann and freshman crew Jaclyn Hollander, also both native of the Golden state.
