NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball takes on Georgia State Wednesday in the CAA home opener at 7 p.m.
Old Dominion finished off non-conference play with a setback last week at Tennessee while the Panthers improved to 6-6 with a 66-50 win on Monday over Bethune-Cookman.
ODU is led by senior Tia Lewis who is sixth in the CAA with 17.3 points per game and in rebounds with 9.5 per game.
Freshman Ashley Betz-White is second on the team with 9.5 points per game and was named CAA Rookie of the Week last week for the third time already this season.
Georgia State's led by Kendra Long with 12.6 points per game while Chan Harris is second on the team with 10.9 points per game and leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game.
The two teams have just one common opponent, as both teams lost to Georgia Tech earlier this season.
The Lady Monarchs are back on the road Sunday as they head to Northeastern for a 2 p.m. contest.
