NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis begins the 2012 season on Saturday when they host Norfolk State at 10 a.m. and Howard at 3 p.m.
The Lady Monarchs are led by first year head coach Dominic Manilla. Manilla has a young squad with no seniors but does return two upperclassmen in juniors Diana Ivanova and Juliana Pires.
ODU also returns sophomores Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nika Khmolovska.
Manilla added two freshmen to the squad this year in Faith Atiso and Aleksandra Mitrovska.
Following the opening weekend, The Lady Monarchs travel to VCU on Feb. 11 for their first CAA match before returning home to take on James Madison Feb. 12.
