RICHMOND, Va. - Ashley Betz-White was named CAA Rookie of the Week for the first week of the season, the conference announced Monday.
Betz-White scored 22 points and dished out four assists in Friday's opener against Virginia Tech. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native was 7-of-12 from the field, making her first five shots, including three from beyond the arc. She finished the game 5-of-8 from three-point land and was also 3-of-4 from the foul line.
The Lady Monarchs are back in action on Thursday, when they travel to No. 5 Stanford for a 10 p.m. EST contest.
